Hotzy, Who we are?
Hi! We’re Amali & Chamath, the passionate duo behind Hotzy, Sri Lanka’s most flavorful hot sauce brand. From our love for spicy food, natural ingredients, and sharing culinary joy, Hotzy was born. What started as a small dream in 2022 has grown into a mission to bring Sri Lankan flavors to the world. Our goal? To inspire food lovers everywhere to explore bold tastes beyond the ordinary, one bottle at a time.
The Birth of Hotzy
We decided to turn our passion into a business in the time of economic crisis in Sri Lanka. When everyone else was flying abroad for their dreams, we two decided to stay in Sri Lanka to do something extra-ordinary. That’s when Hotzy was created while bringing a value added product to the market from what we have grown at our own poly tunnel which was designed and developed by Chamath himself. Our initial goal was simple yet ambitious: to create hot sauces that balanced heat with unforgettable flavor using natural ingredients and no artificial flavours or colours.
The journey wasn’t always easy. From setting up our first polytunnel to perfecting recipes, each step was unforgettable.

What we achieved so far
Since our humble beginnings, Hotzy has achieved remarkable milestones that reflect our dedication to quality and innovation. In under a year, we’ve established a state-of-the-art production facility, introduced two fiery hot sauce varieties, and expanded our reach to customers across Sri Lanka. Our participation in prominent food exhibitions like International Industry Expo 2024 allowed us to connect with industry experts and showcase the authentic flavors of Hotzy.
We’ve also been recognized for our efforts with Bronze Enterprise award for Productive Sector, in small category which was organized by National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) together with North Central Province Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture.
We are proud to announce that we have been certified with ISO 22000:2018 for the food safety practices we maintain. Each milestone inspires us to keep pushing boundaries as we aim to make Hotzy a global household name for flavorful condiments.
